AMERICUS – South Ga Technological University Automotive Collision and Fix pupil Abisai Gutierrez of Macon County was introduced with the Georgia Automotive Dealers Association (GADA) scholarship just lately by the South Ga Technological College Basis.  SGTC President Dr. John Watford manufactured the presentation.

The Georgia Auto Dealers Association (GADA) committed $100,000 to the Complex College or university Technique of Ga Basis to fund scholarships for automotive and automotive collision and fix college students attending TCSG schools across the state.   The scholarships are made to advertise professions in the automotive business in Georgia.

Gutierrez is now in his previous semester in the Auto Collision and Maintenance Technologies system and was incredibly excited to be awarded the scholarship.  “Thank you so substantially for this prospect,” explained Gutierrez.  “I have seriously relished this application and realized a good deal.  Doing work on cars and trucks has been a dream of mine because I was a minimal kid.  And now I have that prospect.  Thank you once more.”  He ideas to use the funding for tools.

The SGTC Vehicle Collision and Maintenance college student realized about South Ga Technical School from his family customers.  Two sisters and his foreseeable future spouse have all graduated or attended South Georgia Complex University in various systems.

“South Georgia Technical Higher education is wonderful,” explained Gutierrez.  “It is aiding me to reach my plans to open my personal company.  My teacher Mr. Starlyn Sampson is terrific and I would advocate this program to anyone who is intrigued in learning how to repair service a auto from start off to finish.”

Gutierrez was suggested for the scholarship by Automobile Collision and Maintenance Instructor Starlyn Sampson dependent on his academic accomplishment and function ethics.  Sampson is SGTC’s Teacher of the 12 months for 2022 and encourages his students to “go the further mile” and study all they can to excel in their decided on profession.

South Ga Specialized University is presently accepting purposes for Fall Semester.  The college will be internet hosting Tumble Semester Orientation and Registration on Tuesday, July 19th at 9:30 a.m., 1:30 and 5 p.m. in the John M. Pope Center in Americus and at 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on the Crisp County Heart campus.
