Gainwell Engineering, Caterpillar in deal to make underground mining equipment

NEW DELHI: Gainwell Engineering Pvt. Ltd. on Monday mentioned that it has signed a technological innovation licensing settlement for underground mining products with Caterpillar, the world’s major producer of building and mining gear, diesel and pure gasoline engines, industrial fuel turbines and diesel-electrical locomotives.

The agreement will permit Gainwell Engineering to manufacture medium and significant seam underground area & pillar devices to cater to expanding coal manufacturing in India and other international locations.

Coal remains the mainstay of electricity protection for India and emerging economies.

As a portion of the agreement, Gainwell Engineering will also provide right after-industry spare elements and render assistance guidance to Caterpillar’s present place & pillar gear and highwall miners.

Gainwell Engineering is a manufacturing undertaking of Gainwell Commosales Pvt. Ltd., previously Tractors India. 

The company’s endeavour is in line with making India a producing hub.

Gainwell Engineering would set up its producing headquarters in Kolkata, with the plant currently being established up across 35 acres in Panagarh, West Bengal, at an investment decision of 500 crore. The device, when fully made, will make much more than 250 positions. 

It will manufacture pick models of continual miners, facial area haulers, roof assist carriers, scoops / multi utility motor vehicles, feeder breakers and highwall miner underneath the Gainwell brand with engineering from Caterpillar.
