Bo Jin Receives 2022 Society of Manufacturing Engineers Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineer Award – USC Viterbi

Bo Jin, lecturer in the USC Viterbi Faculty of Engineering, is a person of 11 recipients of the 2022 Sandra L. Bouckley Exceptional Youthful Manufacturing Engineer Award. The award was provided by the Society of Production Engineers (SME), an association fully commited to advancing producing and building a skilled workforce. Jin is the faculty advisor of the USC Superior Composites Style and design Group, and his research interests emphasis on style and design, manufacturing, and characterization of large-effectiveness composites and buildings.

Jin labored as a research scientist at the Spanish National Lab IMDEA Products, and a Composites Engineer at NASTRAN (NASA Structural Investigation). He is the receiver of a number of awards, together with a SAMPE National Management Award, a 1st Area of NASTRAN Simulating Actuality Contest, various USC training and investigation awards, and various finest paper awards in important composites conferences such as CAMX and SAMPE. He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Composites Science, and serves as the session chair and technical committee member at SAMPE/CAMX.
